A charity 501(c)3 which was founded in 1996 for the purpose of humane education, promoting spay and neuter, pet rescue, and adoption of healthy, social pets to suitable families.
We have fulfilled our goals by the rescue of dogs and cats that were strays, owner given up and from shelters. We vet these pets completely including testing, altering, shots, and micro-chipping. We find them FOREVER HOMES through showings at PetSmart®, Petco® and Petfinder.
We bring educational programs to schools and communities, stressing spay/neuter. All of our work is done using foster homes and volunteers.

PAWS is pleased to place healthy, happy pets into stable forever homes!
All PAWS pets are:
A new owner is expected to make a commitment for the life of the pet. For safety, cats are to be inside only and not declawed for humane reasons (PAWS volunteers can advise how to keep a cat clawing only approved items). Only some dogs require fenced yards. All counties have dog parks and our dogs love leash walks some are even good joggers!
PAWS adoptable pets are displayed on Petfinder. We also have adoption teams show adoptable pets at community events as well as Petco® and PetSmart® stores. Please call 410-326-1616 for the upcoming schedule.
Adoption costs vary by the pet. The cost outlined is a required donation. Feel free to give more!
PAWS frequently has “working cats” for adoption. These are healthy, young cats that can have good quality of life working at rodent control in a barn or stable. These cats are free to a good home that will provide food and medical care.
